Level creation in Halo 2

I am new here so I am sorry if this is an off-limits topic like on many other forums because all the cheaters out there giving real modders a bad name. But I am looking for information in creating mods for Halo 2. Specifically level, weapon, vehicle, etc. creation using 3DS Max and similar programs. Can anyone help?

P.S. - Cheaters go to h3ll :). I am not using mods on Live, besides the Bungie banhammer may getcha.
