License question

Mine is a question about the licenses held on SX-Lite and Core. If I were to lose my license file through some mishap would I just be able to buy an SX-license of the type one would buy with the SX Gear and use that? This hasn't happened but I would just like to know.

Thank you, but that doesn't answer my question. Would buying a license as per SX Gear solve this or are Core/Lite licenses different.
