RGH lifted a resistor DAM!

thanks lulzdude for the info. I've got some resistors coming already but if they dont do the trick i'll try there. I've also got some smaller solder tips and some magnifying equipment coming. Right now im wondering if it would be easier to solder some small wires to the pads and then the resistor to them. I'd love to see a picture of a similar repair job.

Well I got er fixed! Its booting just fine. Now to continue with the rest of the Coolrunner process.

Any other soldering after this micro stuff will seem like Im welding on a battleship HaHa...Was thinking I should hot glue that resistor down for sure. Thanks all for the help and any further advice is appreciated. :smile:

i don't know if this will help but here it is

A 36 ohm 1/4 watt metal film resistor will do the job just fine (it's what I used in one of my slims)... The original part is a 34 ohm SMD resistor if you can get hold of one..

Anyway to finish the story I was unsuccessful at doing The RGH. I never could get the nand to dump. Kept getting the "looking for usb interface device can not continue" error. Drove me crazy trying to diagnose it. Finally decided to send it to a Pro (Xmods). But hey... I gave it my best shot and learned a lot in the process.

Maybe I'll give it another go on the new Xbox 720 or whatever they're gonna call it in 2014... YEEEHAAA Lol

My advice is send it to a pro to fix it. It WILL get worse if you don't :smile:

i use that resistor and is not workin it gives me rrod with 0022 error code
