I am trying to repair a board where someone lifted the C5R11 pad. It appears the C5R17 is the alternate? I am soldering to the FT3T10 point. Just wanted to confirm. I tried soldering to a trace beside the C5R11

I agree with chase. Its a good point and i always have luck with that point with the blue wire cut as short as possible.
Thats how i also get good boot-times

sorry I should have been more clear. The board also has a R4P4 lifted pad along with the CR511 so I need alternates for both. At this point I am just trying to get the thing to boot with stock nand. Since FT3T10 is good, what do I need to solder that to? Sorry for the confusion

wow. Thanks. I have corona V6. I do not have the bottom via as shown in your picture. I have the alternate point but I do not have one by R4p4. Below is how it was soldered which by the sounds of it, is wrong. Anyone in the states want do this for me and get me a cpu key? lol

cpu_rst trace is a long one that starts under the cpu and goes up and down through vias.. C5R11, R4P4 & FT3T10 are all connected..

if C5R11 is lifted no big deal as the trace continues by the via next to it.. but if the R4P4 pad is lifted, the trace will be cut and will need repair

can you post a detailed closeup pic of R4P4 area without so much glare :)

I got that trace repaired as far as I can tell. Instead of a instant red dot, it now maybe comes on in 5 seconds. New pic attached:

I soldered to the Vias.

Your soldering is bad and you have too much wire exposed possibly causing a short

Can you do a continuity test from C5R11 to FT3T10.. if continuity is good your trace repair may be ok

is there anyone here willing to fix this and get me the cpu key if I ship it to them? Not sure if you guys do paid services? I didn't think of shorting the wire but I'll test it.

Try shortening the amount of exposed wire.. use lots of flux to get a good solder joint.. use ft3t10 for cpu_rst.. console should boot or at least no red Dot if there is no other damage to the board

If nothing works, you can request for someones help by posting in the request service section and a pro forum member near you should be able to sort this out for you :)

Right now nothing is on FT3T10. I am not glitching at this point. I am just trying to repair it first, then go back and start to get the cpu key. Do I need to use FT3T10 for this repair?

not really. the way you have it now is fine you just need smaller wire and after you flux and tin both ends of your wire, trim it down as short as possible then tin solder to those same points.. make it look neat and tidy then test all the points for continuity (C5R11, R4P4 & FT3T10) if your meter beeps its good, unless it is shorting on nearby pads or solder joints which is why you want your wires trimmed as short as possible.

My goal is to repair and then get the CPU keys so I can flash the drive. Do you have any references? :) I have never sent my box to anyone. Also how much?

Did you pm jligg maybe he is super close to you? And if your not confident in your skills as points are already lifted I would def let someone else fix it. And till then practice on a dead board.
