SOLVED - Lifted Cpu Rst FT4R2 - Coolrunner wont glitch - Need Alternate Point Fix

Hi Friends, I rgh my xbox 360 slim 4 gb model yesterday with no problems using FiB3R's TX Glitch Guide, using wire installs for the nand x and the coolrunner, xbox glitched but sometimes took a good while to enter the dash with the supplied long blue cable that came with the cooltunner rev b, so I decided hours later to desolder that cable and try a piece of insulated cable that I specially bought from xconsoles to see if it would improve boot times, I soldered one end to the coolrunner and the other end to the cpu rst FT4R2 point underneath the motherboard, but the cpu rst point came off so I cant solder to that point anymore, when I tried my xbox there wasnt any red ROD on the power button, fan was working too, my coolrunner had a solid red light but obviously there wasnt that blinking green light from the coolrunner since the cpu rst cable wast soldered anymore, I read http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76145&highlight=alt.+CPU_RST
but im really confused how to proceed, the post says its to fix these points when u have a red light error, it says also you have to make a trace cable to fix the point, so my question is as follows, do I need to make that trace cable with a different cable and then solder the coolrunner "D" blue cable to those new points and if its really necesarry to remove the xclamp to access these new points? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx. Photos of my motherboard are supplied below.

EDITED Got my xbox fixed and glitching again, left the instructions and photos of my xbox cable bridge repair on page 2, Thanx guys for your help.

On the first photo are 2 cables soldered on the same point underneath the board? The picture is kind of dark, can u please tell me whats the correct point number, so the bridge goes from this point on the bottom of the mobo to the top, does the coolrunner "D" blue cable connects on the bottom too? One last question, does the xclamp has to be removed to access this point on the bottom of the mobo and if its hard to remove?

You need to remove the X-Clamp.

You also need to be able to solder well, so bear this in mind.

To fix the trace, a wire needs to be soldered from the bottom pad of C5R11 to the nearside part of the R4D4 resistor topside. If you then want to go ahead to glitch it, you need to solder the CPU_RST wire somewhere in this line, which is why you see two wires soldered to C5R11. One goes to the Coolrunner D point and the other to the R4D4 topside.

Thanx Martin for the explanation, I actually had my xbox glitched fine yesterday using the standard blue cable, sometimes at the third green light blink on the coolrunner to sometimes 10 or more, thats why I decided to use this shielded cable to see if boot times would improve, but the cable was thick and a little rigid, bought it from xconsoles, so everything is all set up but the missing cpu_rst point, my xbox turns on ok and stays on, fan is working and power button is green but obviously dont glitch cause of the damaged cpu_rst , and the C5R11 doesnt seem that bad to solder the coolrunner cable and the bridge cable to, but the R4D4 resistor looks quite small, any advice to work the top part safely?

Yes - if you don't feel like you can do it comfortably, get someone to do it for you. I use kynar wire between bottom and top points for trace repairs as multi-strand is a no-no. Right now it's an easy fix for someone to do, but it's also very easy to render the console useless by getting it wrong. Not all Xbox damage can be recovered from.

can the same x-clamp be used again and the heatsink needs to be removed temporarily to get a easy access to the top R4D4 resistor right? Believe me, its less discouraging when you have a person with the know how as yourself guiding you in the right direction, my xbox is only 2 months old, got it fully working till 2 days ago, got into hacked ms dash and everything until I decided to change the blue wire on the coolrunner for a insulated one in which the cpu_rst point got screwed, thanx again for the quick reply.

yes you can remove the heatsink + x-clamp just be careful not to scratch the mobo and make sure to put it back on correctly. This is how i fix FT4R2:

CR(CPU_RST) -> R4D4(CPU Side)
CR(CPU_RST) -> C5R11

Thanx zackf89 for your reply, was it dificult to solder to that tiny R4D4 resistor and you got your coolrunner to glitch ok with blinking green light again?

SOLVED - Lifted Cpu Rst FT4R2 -Than Coolrunner wont glitch - Need Alternate Point Fix

Thanx a lot guys for your help. Removed the xclamp and did the bridge to fix the busted FT4r2 point, my xbox is glitching correctly now and booting again into the hacked ms dash :D
If it can help someone else with this problem, my pics with the fix are shown below. In PIC 1 The small orange cable close to the processor is soldered to the R4D4 resistor , goes through a small hole to the bottom of the Motherboard, In PIC 2 the other end of the small orange cable is soldered to the C5R11 pad, the coolrunner point "D" blue cable is soldered to the spliced orange R4D4-C5R11 bridge cable.
Thank you again, spared my brand new xbox.

you should start your own thread first and you shouldn't popup a dead thread,
and about your issue try to unplug the DVD Drive cable and power the console on and see if it boots or not you may plugged the cable in the wrong side if you did you may fried the drive pcb
