 Because im stupid i accidently lifted all the solder from the original POST OUT point, the one under the mobo. I was installing my Slim POST qsb and instead of desoldering my yellow wire i was trying to lift it up alittle just so i could get the board in place and then the whole wire came off with all the solder on it. My question is, instead of using the alt POST OUT point cant i just use my fiberglass pen and scratch off the top off the origonal point until i get to the copper and just put solder back on and use it?

Have a read of this thread, it shows alternate points but don't screw that up or things will get 100 times harder to fix.
Thanks blakey. i didnt burn up the point just lifted the solder from it, was just curious if i could still use the point with alittle scraping. didnt want to use the alt point because i didnt want to take my heatsink off.

Yeah the xbox main board is a very complicated board. Its probably(likely) an 4-8 layer board... I wouldnt dig... Just use the alt points and dont cheap out on a $20 tube of arctic Silver,,,
