Light on chip always on?

Everything works fine, flashed bios etc... disable and enable features work, but the one led light on the X3 is permanently on even when the xbox is powered off and the power lead is in.

It may be just the chip but i was wondering if anybody else encountered this.

for reference its a v1.6 box.

while led light is on?

im assume its the 5v led.. coming from pin 6..

if the chip is still getting power.. doesn't that mean the chip would have a shorter life span?

anyone?

No its using the 3.3V supply although it does the same with 5V as ive tried both
