Well, here is my humble XBox. I'm just linking to the XB-Transformed website, but you have to be signed in to see the photos. My name doesn't show up unless you're signed in. So, I guess sign in and then use the link. Sorry. I would try to just put the pictures on the forum, except I would more then likely just join those who have little red X's.

I intentionally made it textured and scraped up looking. I think it looks kinda tough and nifty. I mean, it's nothing really special: there are a lot better: like the HTXbox, or anything else on that site, but hey; it's mine, and it's different so I'm happy. It's on my to-do list to put it in that 120 case thats in the corner of one of the pictures so I would have multiple hard drives and such. For college and all that. For those who can see it: thanks for the feedback!

PS: Extra bonus: I put on a picture of me wearing a Japanese school girl outfit: I look sexy. Well, actually, I just thought it was funny...

While investigating this, I discovered that they need 24 hours to review photos put on the website. So, it'll be good in a little while. I guess they want to make sure there is no p*rn or anything. I guess that's a good call: I would do the same if I were in their position.

Alright, sorry about that guys. I think y'all should be able to see it now. I logged out and was still able to see my name on the list in the gallery.

I do applogize about the pictures: if I find time, I will replace them with smaller, lower resolution photos.

PS: Oh yeah, and I think the link I put in the first post even works now! Yay.

Thanks for the comments guys! It's good to hear that my hard work didn't go un-noticed. I'm getting my family's 2.4 Ghz Dell this week (we're buying a new computer) and I think I'm going to paint it/mod it to match.

As far as the other extraneous stuff in the photos:
I like random stuff! :) The penguin light you see in the back is an AWESOME neon sign my mom got me for Christmas: it has the penguins on it with the text, "Linux Club," on the bottom. If you look closely in the picture, you'll notice quite a bit of Pro-Linux gear.
And Spam is just funny. I thought about redoing the paintjob, this time featuring a Spam theme. But I didn't feel like putting forth the effort, plus I got attached to the beat-up look.

Thanks! Heh heh... I think if I end up doing to the computer, I'll do a very subtle Linux penguin in the scrapes, scratches, and spills. Actually, just this afternoon, I reformatted this Dell with Mandrake Linux! I love this OS... beats M$ Windows all to pieces. Plus, I don't see how I ever survived without Mozilla! I think I'll use, "Internet Explorer!" as a cuss word now.

Okay... so I drifted off topic there, and considering that I started this thread, that's pretty sad. :) So back to what I was saying: thanks!

Nice job on the distressed paint. I've been thinking of an Akira/MadMax inspired theme using simlar paint job - glad to see it doesn't look like ass (but then again, you've done a great job on this, and mine mine look like ass anyway :) ).

Thanks again, y'all!

There is actually bordering on 15 coats of paint on the thing! :) There are two layers of primer (I had some sitting around), at least 6 coats of chrome, 3 coats of black, more chrome, few layers of orange, very lightly sprayed chrome and orange, and a few layers of clear coat (for protection).

@TokenUser
Don't worry! I'm sure you'll do fine. The secret is to rough up every layer of paint you put on. I used a butter knife and painter's tape. Like, when it was partially to mostly dry, I would attack it (medium pressure) with the knife all over. Then, I would follow that up with putting a few strips of tape on it, pressing it down, and pulling it up again. With all that paint on it... it took FOREVER to dry. Don't worry, it'll look great! After all, every mistake you can claim to be intentional. :)
