It is set to master. I am having difficulty backing-up DeadRising as well. Does anyone know of a guide or list of steps one could use to backup their games?

I am starting to think some game makers are becomming hip to the process....

Can anyone confirm they have been able to backup NBA Street and/or Dead Rising?

Add COD3 to that list....

I've made successful backup of Dead Rising , COD3 , with XBC with no problems. It might be the media that you are burning to. Try to get the Verbatim DL .. Is your burner capable of DL Support ?

is your jumper on your drive set to master??

Try putting only that drive on that ata cable (dont have a slave hooked up)

if still havin probs try a different program than xbc

i was getting the same issues as you...i made my drive the master and had jumper on master and i was set

another thing too...i have a gigabyte board

make sure regardless of your board you have your drive hooked up to the 2nd ata input on your board. for example i have 4 ata ports..but the last 2 need special loading in bios

in result make sure:
1st ata port on MB is your HD
2nd ata port is your samsung set as master and jumper is master
3rd try this without a slave hooked up with samsung drive

g/l that all worked for me

It is working now. Thanks
It is ??

It shouldn't be working now, lol.

There is a reason for this, and it isn't user error or jumpers or master/slave.

Xbox 360 games have two partitions. A video partition and a game partition. The video partititon is actually that small video that plays telling you to put this game in an Xbox 360, like if you throw a game in a DVD player for example. The game partition is the only thing an Xbox 360 cares about.

Now, here's the problem.

Older Xbox 360 games had a video partition of around 7 mb. As you can see from the log above, newer games have a 5.32mb video partition. This is the same problem with games like Star Trek, Crackdown, etc. Xbox Backup Creator just needs to be updated.

Another thing you could try is setting the read speed to a lower setting. I had a similar problem as what you have described with PES6. I downloaded the latest version of XBC 2.4 and set the read speed to be 4x.
When i was trying to rip I originally had the same message, i tried about 10 times and kept on getting the same message. As soon as I dropped the read speed down it passed the Security Sector part and kept on reading.
Hope this helps.
