Hi folks

sorry to hijack but I am having exactly the same issue in that I have a frozen Lite on dg-16d2s.

I have tried every unbricking tutorial that I can find and followed them as far as I am aware to the letter and am getting to the point where the drive will develop wings and fly through a window!

I have flashed numerous drives in the past but for some reason this one is just stumping me

Any help would be massively appreciated!!

What exactly did you do to recover the drive?
did you use iprep? do you have a good dummy key?
I'm willing to help man, but you should try opening your own thread.
It will be hard to help you if you don't explain EXACTLY what you are doing. And by "EXACTLY" i mean that you have to post every little thing you do. If you had to fart between power cycles, post it alright?. lol
I'm good to go whenever.

I am finally getting around to trying this method, as I think I needed to step away for a week...

I am trying to use iPrep, which I have never used before. Is there a certain version I should be using? Following the video I select any firmware as suggested but iPrep keeps telling me that I have selected an invalid firmware. Can someone give me an exact step by step on that part?

Also, is this going to work if I still need to power the drive with the XBOX itself? I don't have an external power source.

Thanks for all the help and look forward to your response.

I'm following the instructions given previously in this thread. My drive is blank and I'm having trouble getting it connected again through JF. The steps outlined in a few previous posts are what I am trying to follow.

Ok so you erased the drive not JF does not see it...
what you need to do is hook everything up and open JF and go to mtk flash 32 tab and outro the drive then intro the drive ( the important part here is to power cycle correctly to get in vendor mode) and since you are using the xbox as your power source it makes the power cycle a bit more tricky.

what i do when using my Blaster ck3(which is using xbox for power source) it takes a few seconds for the xbox to shut off completely so do these steps
1 (to see how long your xbox takes to shut off) shut off xbox and count how long it takes to shut off completely and remember that.
2.(now when you are ready to intro the drive in JF) click intro on mtk flash 32 tab and a window should pop up wait to push yes
3.shut off xbox and count down the time(from step1) that it took to actually shut off.
4.just before the xbox is acually going to shut off click yes from that window that popped up from click intro.
5. and now the xbox should shut off 1 second after you clicked yes on that window immediately turn xbox power back on and you should be able to hit vendor mode
( it may take a few tries to get vendor mode)
6.then proceed as you would normally to finish the flash to lt3.0
3.

Ok, I have gone through these steps using the USB Pro. It appears I can enter vendor mode:

Re-sending Vendor Intro:
...........
Serial flash found with Status 0x72

Sending Device ID request to port 0x0000
Spi Status: 0x00
Manufacturer ID: 0xC2
Device ID: 0x11
Flash Name: MXIC(MX25L2005)
Flash Size: 262144 bytesWhen I try to verify my key, I get this:

No drive present on port 0x0000

What should I do now? I am sure the dummy.bin file I am using is from this drive.

The USB Pro is showing correctly in the Device Manager. I installed them according to the instructions.

Once I get the drive in vendor mode, I am following the JF instructions. I am choosing my dummy.bin file and letting it auto load the iXtreme FW. It then says to right-click and choose Verify Key. That is when I get the No Drive Present message.

if you try to Verify key from a drive in vendor mode it will not work
what you have to do is when you get the drive to 0x72 status and it display's

Spi Status: 0x00
Manufacturer ID: 0xC2
Device ID: 0x11
Flash Name: MXIC(MX25L2005)

this on the right side of the DVDKey 32 tab in JF. Then load your dummy.bin and when it auto loads ixtreme firmware look at the dvd key for source and for target and make sure they match if they dont click spoof source to target.
if both match then go to MTK Flash 32 tab and proceed with the JF instructions to flash(i.e. erase/write/outro)
