I know theres been tons of posts on this but i'm really stuck. Its a 74850c with the newest update. I'm using Blaster Ck3 with 3.3v switch mod on the probe. I have the key since I was the one who flashed it initially. it stopped writing after Bank 1 in the middle of the flash. Now it's status 0x7f and no device present. I've done erase, intro, dos and l-o-eras and even tried some probing tutorials to get to vendor. I've used different JF's all the way back to 1.7. Five days of reading and testing and still zip. This was problematic the other 2 times I flashed it. Should I just chuck it in the garbage and use a different drive(non-liteon)? Thnx for reading...

Are you using the blasterCk3 to power the drive?

If so you are probably not powercycling correctly, there is a lag from when you hit the power button to when it accually shuts off and you need to time it better. count how long it takes to REALLY shut down after hitting power button then when your ready in JF hit the power but and just before you know the console is going to REALLY power off click yes in the respective JF window to get to vendor

I'm assuming you have the key?

Use an X360USBPro to erase the drive then write the new firmware.

Everywhere
Unplug then replug the drive. With the drive powered off, hit Intro and power on within one second after.

if you dont have a x360usb pro you'll have to make a bootable dos usb stick and copy :

- dosflash.exe
- dosflash.typ
- l-o-eras.exe
- lite_cfw.bin <-- your new firmware saved from JF that has your drive key/info inside

when you've booted in dos you type l-o-eras.exe <port> and you'll get status FF80, do it again untill you get status FF72, then you can use dosflash to write the firmware.

*<port> is the sata port your drive is connected, either note it down from JF or run dosflash in automatic mode to list connected devices. It should show up as unidentified or something like that. Sorry if im not very specific but it has been ages since I last did this.
