LITEON DG-16D4S - SLIM Lite-On DG-16D4S 1071 has given me a headache..

Tools -
Molex to Power adapter to Probe 4 into DVD drive power
SATA to x360USB Pro to USB 2.0 on laptop
I soldered a sputnik to my pcb as it was easy and the unlocked pcbs are a little too expensive for a high school student.

First of all, I want to apologize if I rant a little. I've been trying to fix this for hours and google hasn't helped me much after several re-flashes that have taken a good 7 hours of my time away. So it all started with me making a nooby mistake. I flashed my Lite-On DG-16D4S with 0272 FW (I know.. after flashing tons of fat 360s I was too excited about getting a slim after saving up for about 7 months and I looked over the f/w ver... worst mistake someone with experience can make). I left it like that for a couple of days without even checking if it could play games since I was waiting on my Verbatims to be shipped. Then yesterday I finally got them and I tried playing MW3 (Yep, I patched to SSv2 and fixed the topology data) and it would go to a black screen (as if it was loading) then disconnect me from xbox live then kick me out to the dashboard. So I thought it was a bad burn (even though KProbe v2 showed that it wasn't and I burned it on an iHas224B with BurnerMAX fw) and I tried testing Kinect Adventures. It freezes at the white screen that says "Xbox 360" (the little animation that comes up on all the games) and it detects it as a DVD when it's an original game that came with my xbox 360. I called xbox support (yep dumb idea but I was/still am desperate and they basically gave me the "we can't help you, here's a free month of live, and if you want to send it to us just call us back". Of course I'm not going to send something that has the warranty tag destroyed. I found out my mistake today and flashed it to LT3.0 1071. Same errors persisted. Now I've flashed it back to my OFW that I got before I flashed it for the first time and the stock OFW that comes with the FW pack from IX and both give me the "open tray" error after about a second of me inserting Kinect Adventures. Before I flashed it with the wrong f/w version Kinect Adventures worked perfectly. Now I'm stuck with an xbox 360 who can log onto live, but can't play any original games. I really hope someone can help me. And thank you for reading this!

Sorry, Probe 3. It's used for the phat liteons but I use it to give power to the dvd drive from a molex power supply.

Did you get the dummy.bin from your drive before you started?
Yes sir, I flashed it back to stock with the OFW and the open tray error persists :X It was successfully flashed the 4-5 times I flashed it with no problems. I can go ahead and reflash again if you'd like. Would you like me to use my OFW, stock FW from iXtreme, or LT3.0?

---------- Post added at 19:25 ---------- Previous post was at 19:24 ----------

So get the drive into Vendor mode and rewrite your OFW back.

Test with originals to make sure it works, then try the process again.
Alright, I'll do it again and test it with Kinect Adventures one more time. Give me 10 mins and I'll brb with the JF log. And thanks for the quick replies everyone!

Post your JF log when you try to write it back.
Wow... I made another stupid mistake in my rushing that most likely got me flagged for the next banwave. The SATA cord on the dvd drive was loose... Kinect Adventures works. I'm going to flash it to LT 3.0 and post a JF Log. I'm using Jungleflasher's tutorial which has worked for me since I started flashing back in 10' (yeah.. not an expert with many years of experience lol)

---------- Post added at 19:31 ---------- Previous post was at 19:30 ----------

http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=137

find your drive and follow the tut.

bet he not auto loading fw lol.

so he forgettin to click spoof source to target.
I'm not auto loading but I am spoofing to target to copy the DVD key. This is my first time flashing a slim but I've flashed many fat ones before. Won't reply for about 10 minutes while I flash my slim to LT 3.0 brb.

put all cfw into the firmware folder of jungleflasher.and you cut out simple mistakes.

this is why it has a firmware gose here txt file.in that folder.

plus it will auto load the right firmware for you.

in your case it be LTPlus-1071-v3.0

Here's a new log. This one seems much cleaner than the last one (error free in my opinion). It's 10:58PM and I've gotta wake up at 4AM to get ready for high school (yep, I'm still a kid) so I'm gonna leave this up here in case anyone wants to read it and see if they can figure out what's happening to my 360. Thanks in advance!

So when you flash the OFW to it, the drive works with originals, yes?

So, do this.

Load the OFW as source firmware (don't bother with trying to dump the drive as you won't need to providing this OFW works). Select 'yes' to autoload LT3 firmware.

Vendor intro and the drive should come up in Vendor mode.

Write the firmware to the drive.

Just try these actions on a fresh load of JF and post the log (oh, and try the drive with originals afterwards).

Here's the new log. I'm gonna put together my DVD drive and I will report back. Hopefully this flash works as I've literally flashed this drive more than 10 times (so much that the Load+ and Load- cables broke and I had to re-solder them back onto the PCB)

Just wanted to thank you once again. Most Admins of websites never post anything other than news/updates and would never help a noob like me in a thread. Keep up the good work man, you're running a really nice business and your service to the customers is amazing :)
