Lite-On dg-16d4s or dg-16d5s in Xbox 360 serviced in 08/2011

Hi,

I can buy a second hand Xbox 360 Slim that is serviced on 2011-08-11 by the German repair center. Assuming that the DVD drive has been replaced that time, does anyone know if there is a 4S or 5S Lite-On drive in?

I know that here in The Netherlands (mostly China manufactured Xbox 360's) that the 5S drive only started to appear in September manufactured Xbox 360's. While the internet claims the cutoff point somewhere mid august (probably Brazilian manufactured, for the American market) I guess?

So does anyone know how this is with serviced Xbox 360's?

Why would you assume the DVD drive was replaced?

Without opening it, how would anyone know?

There is no reliable way to tell what drive is in it without physically checking it.

If it was replaced it don't have a 5s in it seeing as there's no way to flash those yet, as far as I know. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't that the point in the lt-ultimate and unlocked 5s boards?

It's a second hand original Xbox 360, but I want to flash it so I need to know if it's a 4S or 5S so I'm in doubt for buying this console.

you have already been given an answer....
the ONLY 100% way to tell is by physically opening the console and looking...
anything is only a guess and nothing more

I know that's the only way but that's not really possible for me, now is it? Reason I'm asking here is that it could be that somebody had similar experience and got his Xbox 360 repaired in the same period, that would at least take away some of the doubt.

But I guess there is no one so I'll think about taking the chance or not.
