Lite on DG-16D4S

On of my friends brought me his flashed Lite on DG-16D4S FW V0225. It was playing backups fine and now it won't. It says unsupported disk. It has a PCB board in it. But the person who flased it for him did not give him the dummy.bin or no files with it. Can I recover the key somehow? Really I don't no what is wrong with it and was one wanting any ideas what it would be. I just done A RGH and have all the TX stuff to flash so he thought I might help. I've only done the Hitachi V79 though. I thought it might need upgraded with JF with lt 3.0.

You can dump the dummy from the replacement pcb & update to lt3.0. Follow the tut for that drive in the tutorial section.

Vendor Intro the PCB while its lock is set to 0. Then click the read button. It will take a complete read of the CFW and you can use that to get the key.

Or if the PCB is wiped... You'll have to use your new RGH skills and do a key recovery.

The PCB is not wiped cause the guy was justing playing backup games on it and it still plays originals. SO basically follow the tut for installing a new PCB. I was read about getting the dummy bin from the dummy DB or Dummy for iextreme, and there was another one. But was sure if it would work. I just don't want to brick this kids drive.

on the mtkflash32 tab
press the intro/device id button.

it may ask you to power cycle the drive.power off the ck3i.then power back on.
should be in vendor mode..

unlock the drive by pressing the spi lock status button it should change to 0x00
drive is now unlocked

press the read button jungleflasher will read the drive.
save your bin file.
it will load it into source for you.

then load the LTPlus-0225-v3.0 into target if jungleflasher dont auto load it for you.
click spoof source to target make sure key is the same as the source.

the write to the drive.

once the write has finished.press the spi lock status button.it should change to 0x8c locked.
outro the drive flick the switch on the pcb to to WP=0
job done

Is all this right because it is still saying unsupported disc. Is that because he needs new backups made. Or did I do something wrong. O I see now the drive keys don't match, It says FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF? Why is that? And was I supposed to keep in on phat instead of slim?

Yes they do. But backups won't and did not before I updated to 3.0. New backups need made. Or is it the flash

if they old back up then they need running though abgx to have the topology data put into them GOW3, Black ops as xgd3 and old ap2.5 need topology data now.not sure about 2k12 tho.

but set auto fix to level 3 in abgx it will fix your iso.then reburn.there is so much info on it.use the search.you find all answers lol.

Ok big help man. I thought they need reburnt but wasn't sure. Either way the console needed update?
