I've done a quick search on the forums to see if anything related to this thread had been posted previously but was not able to obtain any related information on my problem so I figured it would be ok to go ahead and post.

I'm new to flashing drives but I've had succsess with reading my drive from Jungle Flasher as well as dumping my key, however after 3.0 came out, I figured I would go ahead and attempt to write the new modified firmware to the drive.. somewhere a long the line I messed up, tried many things even vendor mode. The main problem I'm seeing that's present is that my drive will absolutely not power on.. I mean laser and all. I have all the latest tools and software for modification along with CK3 Probe.. X360USB, never had this problem before because the drive would power on fine, now using the same connectivity as before, it will not power on.

look go to
1)firmware tools
2)choose the source as your dummy
3)click no for autoload
4)choose lt3.0 as target
5)go to mtkflash
6)click liteon erase, then yes
7) click another yes an the then you will find dots at the log down, when they reach 6,7 or 8 close and open directly it will turn 0x72
8)click write
9)when it finishes click outro/ata
10)thanks me with thanks button :))

Do you have the DVD key stored for the drive?

Ok ill go ahead and try that because it does seem like a different method.. however when you're using the terms close and open, you're meaning turn on and off or?

Hey guys. I haven't received a solution to my problem yet and it appears to me by the responses given, that you're not thoroughly understanding the issue here. My drive will absolutely not power on at all. I get absolutely no power to the drive and with no power, I wouldn't begin to condone the suggestions you've already given. Is there anything I can do?

Sorry for the second post but if I edit my last response, I don't believe anyone will look into this.

maybe you plugged the power cable in upside down and fried the pcb look at the pcb for signs of burn anywhere
did you try to outro the drive then lite-on erase to get vendor mode somtimes it takes a few times
