Lite On games on HDD

Hi i have just recently found out about all this modding stuff and to be honest its very overwhelming :duh: but i have got a question i bought mw3 when it came out and i installed it to the HDD as a always do as a precautionary manner as a predicted my disk got all scratched up to a point where it was no longer playable since i had it installed i went to "my games" and launched the installed version from there and it asked me to insert the disk and it worked even though the disk alone wouldnt work but yesterday my daughter broke my disc in two complete halves and i was wondering if i could just burn mw3 from one of this ISO websites run the installed game annd when it asked to insert the disc i put in the burned dvd [My xbox is not yet modded]
Do you guys think itll work? sorry for my newbness and thanks in advance

It will work mate, For piracy reasons getting the game offline is down to you, BUT! has long has you own the original then thats fine...
Flashing a console is has easy has connecting a dvd drive to PC, and telling a program to flash it, its amazingly simply...
Just download Jungleflash and Read the JFtut.pdf, Choose your Xbox "phat or slim" then choose your drive... then read the guide and done...
Just remember Save your Dummy or OFW via if something goes bad, even months down the line this is your consoles safety line...

But if your children are breaking games you should backup your games and burn them, that way if they break it its £2 for disc and not £30 for game wasted... If you have original installed on HDD then the copied game will only run for afew seconds anyways before kicking in and playing from HDD

.No you can't install a retail copy then try to use a burned copy to start the game. You are trying to do the swap method, but you are doing it wrong. Check on youtube for what you are trying to do. The swap method is not recommended. Just flash your drive especially if you have a phat 360 as they are the easiest to do with the least amount of items to buy.
