LITEON 93450 LITE On PCB fried, need some help

I carelessly plugged the power cable of DG-16D2S-D9C upside down befored i managed to back up the dvD KEY, then i saw the pcb catched on fire with smoke coming out. a big bruned hole on the pcb and the drive do not respond any more .

yesterday i have repaired the burning trace by bringing a line bypass the bruned spot ,and now it works not ,ok to open and close the tray but it dose not read any of disks any more.


please help ,give some advice if my repair was wrong

Maybe you should just try to get the key off, and replace the pcb dude.

this may sound stupid but did you have your laser attached when you fried you pcd as this may have also fried because if you can open and close tray but cant read. hope this helps
