I don't think this is a noob question, but I have no posts and don't think it would fit in a better place. I've been working with this for a while, and have the same problem posted on ixtreme. I know I'm not suppose to advertise, but I can't find a solution, and since it is your product, hopefully someone can help me out.
I hope you guys don't mind if I pretty much just repost it:
I have finally reached a point where I no longer no what do to. I've looked up so many people with similar problems, but none seem to have my same one. I have been working at this for a few days, so I am very ready to pull my hair out
Here goes:
I have a lite-on drive. 02510. I haven't played it since about July or so? Anyway. I made a mistake of not updating my dash before flashing, not even close to my biggest problem. I am using an x360 usb to connect to the data, along with a ck3 mini. I made my probe this morning out of the ck3 mini, retrieved my dummy.bin etc with minor problems. When flashing my drive however, I seem to be stuck in vendor mode. What I've heard is that it's missing the firmware, just reload it.
If only it were that simple.I am detecting no drive. I know it's the drive itself, my hitachi is still reading just fine. My lite-on is also having the problem of not even ejecting at this point. When I connect it to my 360 and power on it also doesn't eject, and the power ring flashes green. Again, everywhere I've looked up is telling me that I'm looking at a no firmware problem. I know that it can create problems if the drive is not half open, so I spent half of my day researching on how to manually eject it. Now that it is half open I choose my dummy.bin, and ask jf to auto load lt3.0. When going through lite-on erase, this is my log:
The drive only shows up when trying to flash it and putting it through intro. Notice it's returning status 0x72, before the outro. When you do erase, write, outro, doesn't matter what or in what order, outro brings me back to no drive detected.
The solution seems to be dosflash32 or dosflash, because that can detect drives with no firmware. However my ck3 mini and x360 usb are not reading under the ports. In fact, when I open it, the dropdown box to pick your ports are blank, not even reading my internal sata ports of my laptop. Again I think this is because it's not being detected and in vendor mode. I feel like I'm stuck and when other people's drive's are fixed by reflashing and pressing outro, seems so simple.
It's just doing the same thing no matter what firmware is choosen. I've loaded the dummy and gotten the lt3.0 and tried that from the auto load. The stock doesn't work either. Dosflash32 won't work because it won't detect an x360usb. Same problem I ran into with this solution: Code:
http://www.ixtreme.net/ixtreme-lt-l...rial-if-your-liteon-freezes-during-erase.html
which seemed to be my last bet of not losing my hair. Except when everything seemed to be going better, it didn't detect my x360usb either. People are connecting straight to their comp via sata. Well is there a driver to maybe detect it that I could add to that bootable usb? Or a dos command that someone knows of to scan ports, because I can't find which one my liteon is connected in dosflash. It's not 0x0000 which of course is what shows via JF.

Again, after introing device or after trying to write, it just goes from vendor mode to not detected.
If you run dosflash in dos, it gives me back an error like no atpi ports, which again. I thought the x360 was suppose to make this easier haha. I have a laptop and no option for direct sata.
