failing to read discs without tray intact..it wont will it if you not got top part off case on..

or am i missing your point.

open tray load disc, close tray top on it read disc.

top of it wont as your missin one part to hold disc in place.so it'll spin of or not at all...

I had a similar issue just recently where games were loading, then not loading etc etc etc, in the end i did a pot tweek on the laser which helped for a week or so then started doing the same again, in the end i bought a new laser and havent had an issue since.

Correct. I have had this problem for over 2 weeks. I am getting fed up. If someone could just come on skype and talk me through it or fully help me on the spot and get it working. I will pay them £15+ Depending on their attitude etc... I will pay more if they are nice.

PM me if interested

Thank you very much

Have you tried reflashing the drive? it seems strange how the originals load fine but just the backups arent, that indicates something to do with the burn really

Originals are working fine.
So there's nothing wrong with the drive then - no idea why you're messing with it.

The problem is therefore your backups. It's either the ripping, patching or burning which is the problem.

Post your JF log of the drive flash, along with the XBC of the rip, ABGX of the patch and IMGBurn log of the burn.
