GENERAL Liteon 1071 SLIM - cannot dump firmware

Hello, I've got a big problem with my console x360 slim, and dvd-drive Liteon 1071. I've used the knife method to spin a whole in the chip, and I've got status 0x00.

I've turned on the jungle flasher 0.1.8.7 beta, and clicked intro / device IO. I have got informaion about chip,

vendor id: 0xEF
Device id: 0x11

etc.

and icon on the bottom is 0x00.
Now I should click on READ to dump my firmware... and...

Reading drive key.
Authorised!
grabbing sector 0x3E000.
................
Blank 3E000 sector detected!
Known f/w confirmed!
Sending Vendor Intro to port 0x00000 (my port)
Status 0x51.

AND NOW, Appears information about 'if you wish to resend the command you should click yes. power off the drive and then back on (within 1 second).

And I've clicked YES of course...
and....

Re-sending vendor Intro:
...............................
Device intro FAILED!

Updating flash for on-line dump.

Sending Sector Erase to Port 0x0000 (my port).

And JungleFlasher is freezing! Nothing gonna happend!
I haven't dumped firmware and I can do nothing...


HELP ME PLEASE! I use the insinde intel sata chipset insinde my motherboard, I don't use via chipset sata but I think that's not a problem, problem is with somthing else. Give me something information about that problem..

I've got the same problem in dosflash when I've botted it from pendrive. Drive is unlocked 0x00, and intro is ok, good information about chip, and if I would like to read firmware (type R), it ask me if I want to send sector erase to dump my firmware, I clicked YES and again nothing, freeze, and drive cannot be detected. When I reset my computer I can detect my drive again, but again cannot dump firmware :/. UNLOCKED but cannot dump original firmware and key.

Your problem will almost definately be a chipset incompatibility issue.....

Unless you have drilled toooooo deep :(

I recommend the X360USB Pro for hassle free flashing :)

Or send it to a pro :cool2:

Did you try vendor intro before working on the chip? You get a different error if it's locked and you would have known before you started the kamikaze whether you were going to be successful.

I've found the tutorial on this site, I've checked Via chipset PCI card and it's the same problem. I blocked spi now, and i have to check if it works ;). I use ck3 pro, x360 usb pro can solve my problem? I couldn't read my key before spinning the knife because I haven't x360 USB pro. I will check this on x360 usb pro, I hope that I didn't cut too deep this micro wires in the chip ;)

Get a Xecuter X360USB PRO, i see ALOT of ppl havin this problem.

If your gonna do it, then do it right m8. Is it really worth breaking your console?

Stop being a cheap skate, or get it done pro

Sata is old ffs :facepalm:

I know that lol...that's why I'm saying I think it's yopur SATA chipset....the x360USB Pro is your best friend ;)

Ok, thanks for information, in a few days I will try with new x360 usb pro, I hope that my drive 1071 isn't broken :redface: I've cutted slowly and calm (rotating a knife) - when I noticed a 0x00 status, immediately stopped cut ;]. I've blocked spi, and I will try unlock it again, i've putted the shin sharp knife in the micro hole ;) and drive will unlock again with 0x00 status.

P.S. Drive works great ;) I don't need any soldering resistors etc., only cut the chip and that's it. X360 usb pro and the end ;]
