LITEON 74850 Liteon 7 not working with LT1.91

I had a fresh unmodded box from 2008 and updated to the latest dash. I flashed without problems to LTPlus-025v1.91.
The drive now plays originals but I am getting an 'Open Tray' error on all my backups.
I tried writing to an older firmware (LTPlus-748v1.1) with the same result. I also tried Doing Outro on the drive a few times because I hear this could help - but didn't

You could try pot tweaking the drive. What media are you using for your games?

Yeah that is probally because you are using cheap discs. Verbatim is always the best but you can use other. I use kodaks for my liteon and they work fine. Does it read originals all the time or some of the time.

Reflash it step by step... then see what you get

why would you recommend a reflash?

it seems obvious that it is either a failing laser or cheap media

Yeah I'm using cheap media - Memorex. These backups work on multiple different drives however I will try Verbatim and then a Pot Tweak if necessary

lasers probably going on it, memorex seem fine on all 3 of the seven series liteons i flashed.

It was the Pot Tweak that did it.. I brought it from 5.5 to 4.4 ohms and it reads the memorex. We will see how long the laser lasts now.
