If i may add i had this problem for a while..(1 day) lol im impatient..anyway when you click DVDKEY32 or w.e right click and setting to Delay 5 seconds fixed that problem for me.

hi guys, forgive my ignorance but i'm a beginner at flashing the Liteon 74850c drive.
i'm ready to order the stuff needed but before that i wanna know if it's possible to flash the drive without using any of the Blaster CK3/ CK3 Pro/ CK3 Lite kits.
(i have all the other things with the exception of ck3 probe)
Basically i wanna save cash and only order the the ck3 probe. Will it be enough?

just flashed my jasper liteon 7 series first time with no probs carnt thankyou enough wouldnt be possible without this forum and teamxecuter
one question are jaspers as reliable as people say and i got my case off without breaking the warranty sticker is it ok to send it in flashed or do i have to flash back to stock if it breaks down cheers gelboy

jaspers are very reliable. ive fixed hundreds of 360's and never seen a jasper with rrod. as for flashing back to stock if sending to m$ id say it wont make a difference because theres a small white warranty sticker on the actual drive and you would have bust that getting into it to probe.

you still need to have sata connected no matter what drive youre doing. a red cable that goes from your pc straight into the drive.

because the usb doesnt do the same thing as the sata. the usb is for the probe and thats it. if youve only got a laptop then youll need a pcmcia sata card and if you havent got a pcmcia slot then you cant flash with it.

The drive is recognized well, followed this tutorial EXACTLY as it was written, but in order to be able to push the lower DVDKey32 button, I have to click on "Dummy from KeyDB" first, don't know if this is important.
I have tried resetting the whole process ove and over to no avail.
I have tried setting the tray in MANY, MANY, positions, halfway closed , and as many little variations as possible to no avail.
I have read all of the suggestions in this thread and others searching for other solution, to no avail.
I have tried playing with the buttons on the CK3 Probe v2 to no avail.
I have checked, and re-checked every hardware connection more than twice.
The CK3 Prove V2 doesn't turn green unless a make it touch the corresponding hole, telling me it's making a proper connection... regardless of using the probe or not, the same error appears as soon as I click DVDKey32.
How can I make it go away?

if u look at the properties its coming up a different dvd drive so u need to switch it to a different port till u find it it might help if u check off the via ports only.

Yes, there are other ports I can choose besides 0xB400, most of them don't recognice any hardware, but I've tried them all anyway to no avail either.
COM1 is the only port available of that kind.
What kind of information am I looking for in the Properties column to know its reading via my VIA 6421 PCI Sata Card ?

The drive you are selecting is not a xbox drive it is your hard drive and if you continue to do this you will damage the drive and ooops there goes your pc.
Change the IO port so you see your xbox drive.
Try watching the video tutorials thats why we make them.

here is screenshot of JF. im using ck3 pro with probe 2. on ck3 i have the red power light.i have also done it with ck3 with blue light, have it set on com. the probe is set to probe with blue power light and amber ready light. when i insert probe into r707 it turns green, but when i click dvd 32 key that when i get message. forgot to add it hasn't been flashed before, and via drivers are removed and via card enabled

Hi, thanks, turns out you were right, I clicked on "VIA Ports Only", and now my drive is detected.
But I still get the same problem, with almost the EXACT conditions as the poster above.
The probe is set to RED and turns green when I put it in the hole, but "Serial Data is bad" again.
Also, could someone tell me If I extracted the iXtreme LT v1.1 firmware correctly into my "firmware" folder inside JungleFlshar's folder?

you need vto to connect the usb cable that came with the pro, also install the drivers, look in downloads section for the ck3pro usb-serial driver 1.25, i think
