HI guys, ok so my friend tried to flash his own xbox :facepalm: it a liteon fw 83850c! No when he first got his modded xbox he decided not to keep his CFW file cause he tought that it was not necesary!:crazy:

So he had no cfw and had to hack his drive! Well the drive now has no power it died on him!

Is there anyway to save his drive and bring it back to live or is it good buy for this xbox! Can i test the pc board and see if it fried if so then how do i do that!?

If the board is working what other things can i look at that might be causing is drive not to have power. The drive is outside the xbox and im trying to power up with my ck3lite.

did it die trying to flash it or in the xbox? if it was when flashing it do you have a jf log to post and did he get the key off of it?

worst case scenario if its an hdmi console it can rgh to get key and put on a new drive if that one is dead

ok he did not save his key! so he tried to mra to get his keydumped again! DOnt really know what he did exactly! But he said one moment the drive coule open and close and well after his work the drive did not want to open and the was no power on the drive!

When he gave it to me i put it on JF but the drive was not detected!

Tell me worst case cenario say is drive is fooked and he dont have his OFW for the drive! Must he start looking for a new xbox or what can he do?

a hdmi console is a xbox console with a hdmi (high definition media interface) port of the back of it.
and without pics it could be anything. he could have cut something he shouldn't have, if he tried repairing it he could have dropped solder somewhere crossing two connections creating a short. otherwise send it to someone to have a look at.

worst case is his xbox isnt hdmi or cant be RGH'd to get the drive key. so yes new xbox. hopefully if you get some pics up then someone can help you.

Cool ok i will upload some pics tomorrow! And yes he does have hdmi port at the back! So worst case it can be rgh!?

No i have not! Will put the pics up tonight thanks man! Were just a bit busy at my company after the new year!

Ok here is a pic, im sorry for bad quality had to take it with my phone left the camera at work!

So here is the full story! My bud, like you know threw away his fw key cause he tought that it was not important "dumb"! i know! Ok so he tried to mra with lt clip, did the cuts used lt clip and got green lights on clip but were unable to read drive! that did not work so he then soldered the cuts, wich i think might be the problem and now the drive is dead!

Does this drive look like it can be saved or is rgh the only hope!
