Hi Everyone

Been a year or so since I flashed my xbox 360- liteon drive, I have a CK3 Pro with a CK3 Probe which I am guessing is version 1.

I bought another 360 the other day, it has the latest dashboard which has resulted in the liteon drive going to F/W 0251.

Reading some posts on the forum, I cannot use my CK3 probe 1 to extract the DVD key.

But this is where i am a little confused, I have read that you can put a switch on the 3.3v power line and it should work. Does this apply to the CK3 Probe 1?

I thought I would give it a go anyhow, using the latest version of JF,

1. Connect my CK3 Pro to the drive with the CK3 powered on.

2. Click on "PhatKey", and press "OK".

3. Press my homemade switch to turn off the probe.

4. Connect to the mpx01 point.

5. Press my homemade switch to turn on the probe.

6. Extract Complete,????

Do I now turn the CK3 off and on, or just the 3.3line?? I now get extraction failed.

3. You will now get a pop up message telling you to power off the drive, attach the CK3 Probe 3 to the MPX01 point and then power the drive on. You don't have to power off the CK3 - so just follow these instructions:
Click YES
Hold CK3 Probe 3 Button down (LED OFF), connect the Probe to MPX01 (push the probe firmly to the MPX01 point so that it's a solid connection), release CK3 Probe 3 Button (LED ON)

4. Extract Complete will be then pop up after a couple of seconds (See image below). Now Remove the CK3 Probe 3 from MPX01. Press and Release the Probe 3 button again then click OK.

I have a probe 1, is adding the switch on the 3.3v line good enough to extract the key. Or do I need to do anything else to the probe to make it work.

If I just buy the Probe 3 with the connecting cable, will I need a X360USB Pro??

Some posts just say connect CK3 Pro to USB, 12v/5v power source and probe v3 cable. Without the need of a X360USB Pro.

Sorry so many posts with different answers.

Your a star, how easy was that. I used a pin as the probe connected to the gnd wire, and a old switch connected to the 3.3v line.

Didn't even bother with the v1 probe.
