Hi everybody I am trying to flash my 360 drive, so I opened it up and I found out I have a Liteon drive, which seems to be the hardest from what I have found. The problem I am having is, when I plug the drive into my computer with a SATA cable the computer doesn't recognize it. It won't show up in JungleFlasher or my PC or anything. I have it powered with the XBox 360 (I know the risks of doing so) I have an NVidia 780i SLI motherboard, and I know the SATA port I am plugging it into works because I tested it by moving my Hard Drive to that port, I also switched to a cable that I verified as working. I saw a post on here about compatible chipsets, how do I found out which SATA or IDE controller I have? I am trying to avoid spending any money on this (I made a probe out of a pick type object and a wire to ground it haha). I saw the VIA cards on Amazon and Newegg for 10-15 dollars, but I only want to get one as a last resort. What else can I try before I have to get a VIA card, I think I might be missing something and this seems like a good place to see what it is.

Thanks!

You're not going to get any help without using TX products, Your going to need a x360usb pro, Ck3 mini or Ck3i to power, And a probe 3 to get the key. Also liteon 16D2S are not nearly the hardest, You need to do more research.

How to set up your onboard SATA for flashing:
1. AHCI and RAID must be disabled in bios. (SATA/IDE = OK)
2. Xbox Drive MUST be in the lowest numbered SATA port (look on mobo)
3. In JF, Tick "Include non-IDE ports," Untick "VIA ports only"
4. Scroll through your I/O ports and find the drive
