im trying to flash my drive for the first time but i cant because the spi wolnt unlock i just get this message
"Slim-un-lock command returned an error"
"unlock failed"
any help would be much appreciated

Is it a winbond or mxic chip? Which unlock method are you using?

As InfamousJoe said we need more info which chip does the drive have, How are you trying to unlock

also what tools are you using to flash

the tools i am using are a ck3i and x360usb pro im trying to unlock by clicking slim unlock in jungleflasher and i dont know what chip i have, how do i determine that?

It won't unlock because it's already locked. You'll have to open it and check if it's a mxic or winbond first

First : Read the JF tutorial, it will answer most of your questions. See Page 226, or check flash name in the Flash chip Properties

Dump the dummy.bin first, then get a replacement unlock PCB and flash your LT firmware to it. T-X make it easy

Again read the tutorials its not a hard process creating a 0800 drive.
