Hi everyone,
So I am trying to flash a 424B I purchased online with burner max on my laptop with an X360USB Pro V2 and I am running into the error in the title of this thread:
In the tutorial it says to update the drive with GL1A.exe but when I run it I get this error:
So, after some googling I came across threads saying that you should try crossflashing the drive(like here) with either GL18 or GL27 then GL29 and then updating to GL1A. When I tried flashing any of these, I got the "Error writing FLASH to drive!" error.
Other threads then said that people could get it working by switching from AHCI to either IDE or Compatibility. I tried this as well to no avail. I also tried the regedit fix regarding this method, also with no success.
Different threads suggested trying to just flash the burner max firmware, skipping the update process. That didn't work either.
At this point I started to freak out and tried flashing the original GL1B.exe that I read from the drive and got the same flash writing error. The drive still get's a letter when I plug it in so I am not totally hopeless yet.
Can anyone offer any new things to try?
