Hey guys, I've just bought a LiteOn iHAS324B so i can burn xbox 360 backups.

So, in order for me to do so, I have to update it from AL18 to AL1B.

However, it gets to 100% and then after it says inquirying, it fails and tells me to contact me vendor.

I am using an enclosure, so its going from sata to usb.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I think updating it in the way you have is a no.Either get a molex power supply and a molex to sata power adapter .In your tower/ desktop pc have a sata chipset and connect data to that.Or follow ubers tutorial and use a usb pro and molex power supply and molex to sata power adapter. Its easy if i can do it you can.you can only update it with a laptop if you have usb pro_Or a tower with sata card.

When I did mine I used a molex PSU and a molex to sata like mentioned above. I did it with a usb to sata dongle (the ones with IDE PATA and Sata on them) and it worked like a charm. It's odd that its not working for you. Try a different computer if that doesnt work do it internally.

I too, am having this problem. The thing is that my PC does not have a SATA port that I can get to. The PC is an all in one so you can def. see my problem.
