My liteon iHas424-98 B drive has been firmware changed from stock to burner max on my computer with windows 7. The graphics card went bad in the Hp and I decided to switch to my inspiron computer that has windows 8.1. When I connected my drive it was not being detected by my inspiron computer. I have tried a different sata port and a new sata cable, but it's still not being detected on my inspiron computer. Power is working fine, drive is opening and closing. Is it because of the change in operating system? Is it because it was previously firmware changed? Is it the drive? I still have all the data backed up from my liteon's stock firmware on my hp computer.
I know this is a computer based problem but I didn't know where else to put it.
Can someone help me out here...
Thanks!
