As per all requests for help with backups, please post your Xbc and abgx logs aswell. Also only verbatim mk001 and mk 003 discs are supported on here for backups.

Simply use verbatim mk-001 or mk-003 and there should be no problems.
According to the log he used Verbatim media (I 00:56:57 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00)) But burning a MKM-003-00 media at 2.4x speed is a wasted time, the burning quality will be just worse than at 4x. Looks like he just has a bad batch Verbatim media (Made in Singapore and Made in UAE are ok, Made in China Verbatim media do not work) or the laser of his burner is getting just too weak to burn XGD3 disks properly... he should test burning an XGD2 disk just to see what happens, many times when a burner is dying this is the first symphtom that burning XGD3 disks is not possible anymore, while XGD2 disks can be burnt with no problem. It is also usefull to set OPC on, and to clear the OPC history once a while, especially when a new batch of media is used.

my settings are: FHT: enabled, OHT: disabled, OVERSPEED: disabled, SMARTBURN: enabled

the above settings used to work on any of my 3 iHAS drives with minimal error rate.

Thank you for answering. I use verbatin MKM003 made in uae.. The problem is that it me does not record the verbatim is to say if I record it to 4x with opc on finishes correctly the recording but neither the tape recorder nor the xbox recognize me the disc. If I record him to 2.4x without opc ht on … it me recognizes it both the tape recorder and the xbox but only the L0 records the first cap the second cap is illegible in the liteon and the xbox.

That is why I said this is a sign of a dying burner... test it in another machine if you can, burn an XGD2 disk and check it with KProbe to see whether it can be read or not.

Drive problem. A new laser or a new drive is needed. Mediarange media will hurt your Xbox in the long run.
