LITEON 83850 v2 Liteon showing as 02501 in jf

Hi all,


Brought a used xbox360 from gamestop it says 83085c on the drive but when i plug it into jf it says fw is 2501 and im having a hard time getting the key with with sata,ck3 and probe 3. I used the mpx01 method and get the extract failed message.xbox is stock and has not been flashed yet. So my question is what is the proper ,method for getting the key.

First of all, all phat Lite-On drives become 0251 after the latest update and secondly, what you are doing is correct. Are you using the latest version of JungleFlasher (01.87b)? Also, when PhatKey prompts you to power off the drive, hold the switch on the Probe 3 (LED Off) and release it again to restore power (LED On).

-- hold down the button on the probe 3 cable
-- probe MPX01 and release the button
-- when u get status 0x52 u can remove the probe
-- Hold the button on the cable down for 5 seconds then release and click the okay button on jf


it may take 2-3 times to do it, and 5 seconds isnt required its just what they recommend.

This is spot on, I have had success with just leaving it for 2-3 seconds each time.

Thanks for the help after a few more tries i got the key by the phat method.the part that was tricky was after the extract i had to let go of the probe and press o.k basically at the same time hope this helps some others.i will now plug the drive in xbox get any updates then flash the drive
