LITEON 9504 LiteOn Slim Drive

I have a LiteOn Slim Drive with 9504/0272 (pre 13599 dashboard) My Dashboard is 13146. Do I need to read the keys off of it before I update the system or can I update it and still flash it? Because jf says
NOTE: AFTER DASHBOARD UPDATE (13146) ALL SLIM 9504 LITEONS ARE NOW STOCK 0272 FW – AFTER DASHBOARD UPDATE (13599) 0272 ARE NOW LOCKED!
So if I update now will my drive be locked?

yes ,that's true but you can extract key any time !

Hi,

You have to read your key before doing anything : what is done is done
Updating to a newer dash (13599 / 13604 ou the last one 14699) will flash your drive fw and will lock it.
After that, for flashing your drive, you'll have to unlock your drive (sputnik, kamikaze or Xecuter PCB).

do you know what flash chip is in your drive

i would update it to latest dash as it's stock.then get the dummy from the drive.

find out then if it's mxic or winbond.

then you no what to buy to unlock it.

jungleflasher will tell you if it's mxic or winbond.

thats the way i would do it.
