Liteon still introing after trace repair

When I intro the drive it still works and goes into vendor mode. Does this mean my trace repair is bad?

You can intro any 16D4S, without any hardware mod(sputnik / kamikaze). I guess you already wrote LT 3.0 on the drive? Why don't you test the drive in xbox with a backup?

Because I dont have my ihas burner yet >_> I just couldnt wait to get into it. Just got x360 USB pro v2 and sputnik

But yeah i probed and installed LT 3 succesfully

Also if that's the case what is the point of making trace cuts then? I keep hearing its so you can enter vendor mode

The trace cut and probing was developed so you can write the firmware to the board(otherwise read-only).

You are good to go, try the drive with an original disk, it should work with backups too.

I did. And I went on live signed out signed back in. Played a online match, everything seemed to work fine. Great! Thanks for the bit of peace of mind


-Also newbie question after I flashed (before repairing trace) I clicked read and got my Lite-OFW.bin that wouldnt have messed up my flash or anything right?

Nope, you only READ the drive firmware. If anything goes wrong when flashing any drive, you'll get play dvd for any disc / RROD
