Hello you all. Sorry for my English. I´ve bought an Unlocked PCB Replacement for a friend of mine. I´ve extracted the key from de 0225 with USBpro, all was good, the key was valid, the I updated the Xbox dashboard with a pendrive within the original drive inside, then I´ve installed the unlocked pcb with lt+2.0. I´ve followed the instructions that comes with jungleflasher for the pcb, all was good. I mean the Xbox read the games, the originals and the backups, but a week ago, it doesn´t read any discs any more. So I got back the Xbox and updated the dashboard first and then the firmware to lt+3.0 and the Xbox read both originals and backups but now it doesn´t read discs anymore. I don´t know what´s happening, I mean when I flashed the pcb it worked I´ve played backup with no problems but it seems it only works for a while...

Any ideas of what I´m doing wrong...

PD: Sorry for my English and thanks for your job

Hey mate, I started a similar thread last night. I'm having the same problem with a 0225 drive with replacement pcb. When it was flashed about a month or two ago it worked pefectly.

Then a few weeks ago it stopped reading discs, when i hooked it up to jungle flasher i noticed the firmware was no where to be seen. Again i reflashed it and once again it worked perfectly for about 2 weeks. Now it doesn't read discs.

I have an 0401 with replacement pcb. I've had no problems with that. I really don't know what to do.

I'm wondering if the pcb is faulty. Have you been on XBL?

Just a thought, did you use the solderless adapter that came with the replacement pcb?

With the 0225 drive I used the adapter but with my 0401 I soldered it.

Sorry if this has double posted I wasn't sure how to edit my post

Are you using an iHAS drive and Verbatim discs to burn your .iso that has been verified with ABGX?

Hey mate, yes I am using iHAS drive and Verbatim discs. If it wasn't verified by ABGX, do you think it is possible a game or M$ could delete the fw? Thanks for your help.

I can't remember if iso was verified by ABGX, I don't always verify.

You need to ALWAYS verify your .iso with ABGX. No exceptions. That's probably your problem right there. Also, the only way to have your FW flashed by MS is with a system update. Did you recently accept a system update?

Thanks for the reply. Haven't accepted any system update, still on dash 13599, was using LTplus 2.0.

After reflashing it a few weeks ago it hasn't been online. The xbox didn't go on XBL before then but was connected.

Really appreciate all your help guys. It won't read any kind of disc, originals, back ups, cd's, DVD's. Everything works perfectly for a couple of weeks then it's like the firmware vanishes off the drive. The pcb goes blank.

Near Melbourne , Australia
seeing as LT3.0 was made for dash 14699 this could also be a problem

an 0225 is a locked drive , so it shouldn't be able to be flashed by M$ anyway as long as the replacement PCB is locked as well
very strange problem , which a few people seem to be having though, especially not being able to play originals

I´ve got a jasper with a fat liteon drive, so I always check the backups with abgx, the dashboard in which I´ve installed the liteon pcb is the latest, the originals and backups worked for a while with lt+3.0 but then the xbox doesn´t read any discs nor originals neither backups... The same backups run in my xbox, jasper motherboard with lt+2.0 in a phat liteon drive.

I don´t unsderstand what´s happening, because in the beginning the pcb with lt+3.0 read the backups... but now it´s like there was no drive...

have you check that none of the wires are loose.like the laser ribbon it nice and tight.

dose it say open tray or play dvd.

post a pic of your install of a pcb.

as you on 13599 dash flash it back to ltplus 2 and see if it works if it dose then.

flash it back to stock.do the update then flash it back to lt 3.

Sorry, here are the pics, now I revised the wires, then flashed again with lt+3.0, I tested with a game burned for lt+3.0... The game installed and worked, but then I unplugged the power tried it again and now I get the open tray error... Any ideas?

I think it could be a contact made between the dvd lower case and maybe the pcb or other part, when I disassemble the dvd case, only the lower case, and try a backup it works, but when I assemble it doesn´t read any discs, it says open tray...

To test this, insulate the wires with with electrical tape.

That´s not the problem, I´ve insulated the wires and it doesn´t read discs, sometimes I get the open tray error, other unrecognized disc. The drive was originally a 0401 slim liteon.

Yes, I´m using lt+3.0 for 0401. Tomorrow I´ll try to do a new extract of the original firmware cause I´ve got the original pcb that comes with the drive... Thanks for your answers.
