LITEON 83850 v1 liteon wont 83850c wont read?

a friend came to me to upgrade his modded drive and i could not read the lt 2.0 firmware via soldering method. this only works for stock drives, but i found out later. im using a via card and ck3 connectivity. the person who modded this drive previously read the key without soldering but never kept the key.

details:
-has 2.0 ixtreme installed play backups
-does not have dvd key from previous key dump. needs to retrieve again.
-need to update to 3.0

what hardware will i need to buy to dump the key?

You will need a .probe 3 to grab the key.

All liteons past 13146. Or with lt+ need it.

Any CK3, a Probe and the PMT cable will let you retrieve the key in a minute. There are several tutorials around, just spend some time searching for them.

There's no need to solder to read the DVD key in a LiteON drive. Not any more!
