it does not read games, i tried changing the laser, the laser ribbon, the motor is fine, i tested another pcb with the drive and it read the games.

Wait and buy a Executer replacement PCB and have it all!

no need for that particular pcb if a second hand one can do the job, no write protect on the chip. it is a liteon from the phat xbox.

Doesn't make sense that the drive works fine and functions but cannot read games!!! What error message do you get when using your own PCB?
no error message at all, startup's fine, when inserting a game it spins up and can hear it reading for a whole, thereafter gives open tray, i first thought it was a laser problem, tried two brand new lasers, then tried a new laser ribbon, finally tried another board and it worked.

Flowed the PCB!!! No wonder it isn't working, and I bet you flowed it before you tried replacing the lasers? Never heard of Liteon PCB needing re-flow ever before.
nah first tried all possible outcomes before flowing it, put the original board in the working drive before i flowed and gave same problem, so i could not have messed it up by flowing it after.
