Ok so I got my nandx and coolerrunner. Updated the nand x and programed the correct timing for my jasper board. Now i just did a wired install of the coolruner and nothing else. Do I have to install anything for the nandx or can I just use the update cable I also purchased. In the end I just really want to get the dvd key.

No. This is where I'm starting to get lost. Do I need to install the nand x stuff to dump the nand or can I just do it from the coolrunner.

Yes, if you used the wire-install method for the CoolRunner.
You could fit the QSBs or the pin headers that come with the retail NAND-X package if you wanted.

But if I where to use the coolruner qsb then I wouldnt have ti install the stuff for the nand x?

The new QSBs have headers for the NAND-X QSB cable and you can leave the CoolRunner installed if you wish.
