Hi all
I received my shiny new CK3i yesterday and tested it on a few drives (as you do lol). It worked perfectly on a Benq, Sammy and a 7 series Liteon, But on another 7 series Liteon i just couldnt get it to go to status 72 until i pressed liteon erase about 4 or 5 times,it's no real problem but i just wondered if it may be a rouge drive or if it is a slight glitch with the CK3i.

There have been a few reports about the Lite-On's (Phats) not wanting to go into Vendor Mode so I don't think it will be the CK3i :p

Try it on a few others, you may find it was an isolated incident purely down to a stubborn Lite-On

Can confirm this. Mine had some problems too, just keep trying until it works.

Try it in manual mode and report back

Thanks for the replies i tried it in manual mode as uber suggested and it worked ok. i have since done 3 more 7 series liteons and it has worked fine in auto mode so i suspect it was just a stubborn drive, im well impressed with it overall it makes flashing drives a breeze.

Somewhere in the 'verse
it's awesome - slims are the biggest difference -
since you have to intro to unlock (autocycle)
after read you need to intro (autocycle)
after write you need to intro to relock (autocycle)

simply AWESOME!
