loaded new bios, xb shuts off randomly

i loaded the new bios and i was just sitting there playing te new splinter cell and my xb just frooze and shut off

turned it on again started playing it again and a few minutes later (had just loaded into the mission itself) and it shut off

turn it on again it sounds like the fan keeps on goin up and up *hmm i wonder whats goin on* i walk over to the xb and i cant tell a difference in heat then i walk back to the couch start playing and guess what........IT SHUTS OFF

it happens so fast i cant even play my game but thats not even what im worried about i mean whats goin on is this a bug or is it overheating or what i mean it didn't do this before i loaded the new bios (i dont even have a dash up yet so its all of the normal functions) i tried it with the chip on and off

WHATS GOING ON please help

Check the tempuratures, it may be overheating. You might increase the fan speed, to see if it goes away

how am i supposed to do that when its only the x3 bios and no dash?

well i have it apart and i noticed when i booted the box the fan would start spinning and then go off and stay off no i know it wasn't doing this when it was togather so whats up?

and its not the fan cuz i tried another one

its just like the voltage gets cut off after initial boot

you can adjust fan speed in X3CL, look through the menu options. As for the fan, not working all the time check the connection i guess. Maybe the fan is going bad.

no no the fan worked fine when i went into flash bios mode

X3CL? haven't done this in a bit sorry

What bios version are you using? I had some issue with the newest so I tried v3029.

Everything works fine for me now. Hope that helps.

.............. make that had the newest i just flashed in cromwell and it worked fine

i dont get why when you load the bios you dont have any features until you load a dashboard i mean that just sux

with the chip enabled it should boot the X3CL, unless you disabled it. Hold the white button and boot up the xbox. this will bring up X3CL.

whenever i flash the bios mine never does that just says the rox my box thing and goes into the normal xb dash

Did you hold the white button while it booted? It WILL go to the MS Dash if you didn't install a different one. Not trying to be a smart ass here, but the more info you provide, the better.

im flashing the bios back to the new ones

right now i have cromwell im flashing to the newest bios build, i dont think your tryin to be a smartass, i have the x3 and thats it, you have been very helpfull so far i have had this chip since xmas and do to a crappy computer and connection i couldn't flash it but now i am

if you want any more info i will be glad to give it
