Loading Avalaunch with CD

v1.0 xbox with X3 chip and build 1959

I have found some information on loading avalaunch for evolutionX, but I do not know how to do so with X3_1959. I burned the avalaunch.xbe to a CD-RW but the bios just ignores it and I don't know how to get the xbe onto my xbox. I have read the following tutorial, but it really hasn't helped much... http://www.teamavalaunch.com/docs/manualv2.2.pdf

I would rather take this approach than the ftp because my xbox setup is nowhere near my computer setup. I can't use my network because I'm on a college campus and the firewall won't allow it.

So what I'm asking is how do I get avalaunch onto my xbox?

I am having trouble too with installing avalaunch. I was trying to use Qwix 1.01 and it keeps telling me Xbox is not currently running an ftp server. I don't know how to enable the ftp server on the xbox. Also, what password am I supposed to use when connecting with Qwix and inputing the Xbox IP?

yeah, I just deleted wiped my computer and didn't install any of the origional software, so I couldn't tell what kind of file it was, I probably could have looked at properties and saw .pdf

When you're creating the avalaunch cd, try renaming the avalaunch.xbe to default.xbe that way you can boot with that and then install it on your xbox.
