I looked all over, and i could only find instructions on how to load a dash over a network. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, what files i would need to put on the disc (i see some deletion of files in a tutorial for avalaunch?)?

Srry for being a tardy noob again. :oops:

you can install evox using Slayers Auto Installer

however (to me) unleashx dashboard is a lot better than evox, but i haven't encountered an installer for this dash

so you can just put your wanted dashboard files (after renaming your main XBE to "default.xbe" ) in to an xbox readable disk (use an app like qwix or xiso ) and start your xbox then copy all the files to the c patition using that dashboard's file explorer then rename your main xbe back to what it was.

PS: its your problem to get all these files :twisted:

If it's EvoX all you need is the main XBE and evox.ini if you want to runit off the disk. If you want to copy it onto your hard drive, here's the fiels you need:

Main XBE (name it to evoxdash.xbe or whatever you have it set to in your bios)
Trainers folder (only if you want trainers, its not required)
Skins folder (only if you want different EvoX skins, not required)
Bios folder (only if you want to flash bios from EvoX, you put the bios file in that folder)

Any readme files or NFO files aren't needed, they are just there to tell information about the release.

Hope this helps!

You have to configure the evox.ini file on the CD. If you are using the crossover cable you need to set your IP up in your LAN settings. Reffer to this link for network setup:

http://evox.xboxhackz.net/evox/guides/body_basic_networking.html

Whatever IP you set your LAN to use (if you follow that tutorial probably 192.168.0.2) then in evox.ini you set the following:

Ip = 192.168.0.2
Subnetmask = 255.255.255.0
Defaultgateway = 192.168.0.1

Then when you boot up to EvoX, you ftp into your xbox with the following:

Address: 192.168.0.2
Port: 21
User: xbox
Pass: xbox

Then you copy all the EvoX files to your C Drive or your F Drive (if you have one) for stealth. Rename default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe. Then in your X3 bios you should set it to boot off evoxdash.xbe wherever you put it. I don't think I missed anything, but let me know if you need more help.

my only problem is that i have no connection to my PC, wireless or hard line. i simply have never had the need to network, because there is only one pc in the house.

i guess i could use a crossover cable, but is there a way to copy the files from a disc? right now i dont have the money to invest in a wireless setup (pc is in basement, bedroom is upstairs).

You could use slayer's although it is quite bloated. If you computer has an ethernet port in the back, all you need is a cross over cable and they are very cheap.

KINECT Mounted to top of Cantilever Mounted TV?

I have recently mounted my television to a cantilever mount so I could be able to move it around and utilize free space where available (for the kinect). Now all I need to do is mount the kinect somehow to the TV (so it will move when the TV moves as well)... therefore a shelf on the wall would not be suitable, I was hoping to find some kind of clip or something similar... I found somethign on ebay made by "Crown", but it does not fit my television...

I have been searching and searching for possibilities but mostly I see shelf designs and I do not know how I would make that secure enough to hold the motorized kinect on top of the tilted television.

Any ideas?? I appreciate any and all incite.
