Loading DVD or from HD, Noticeable Speed difference?

id like to know how to make a backup dvd play, i cant get my dvdx to read from the hard drive and xbmc wont do it either

anyone care to help me?

yeah, if your hdd is 7200rpm + then yes it will run faster, but what do you mean you can't read dvd's from xbmc ? did you try browsing the dvd drive from the preset selections on the list ?

Absolutely - HDDs are much faster than a DVD-ROM any day.

As for backup DVDs, DVD2Xbox simply copies all of the files from the DVD to a folder on the HDD. There is no compression, no combining into a single file. If you want to play the backups, you're looking for the .vob files.

You're better off getting a DVD Burner for backups IMHO.

i have problems with 50% of my backed up dvd's and i for somereason cant get files to show up on g partition in that app (yes i've checked the config) but i barely watch them anyway.

Backing up games to the HDD is pretty straight forward with DVD2Xbox

Occasionally you'll get a game that just doesn't want to work properly, but usually it works fine, and you get faster load times.

yes backing things to a hard drive is always best (but hard drives do eventually fail). DVD2XBOX is a great app and you should never have any issues with it.

Personally i find Px HDD Loader a much better and reliable program for backing up games

PX HDD also works great, my only issue is the way it names folders. It names them by a relatively arbitrary number as opposed to the name of the game (which is useful if you use a dashboard that looks at folder names instead of the name of the .xbe)

You can rename them with boxplorer/xbox file explorer. They won't show up in pxhddloader but they will on the dash.

Hi ive been out of touch for last 6 months so i have a few questions

i bought a new 360 im guessing new drive i have a ck3 v2 probe and kit will this work or do i need this new version of ck3

That all depends on what drive you have in the 360 for the CK3 and Probe!!!
