If you definitely went into Nero and selected Recorder / Burn Image, then it's simply not liking the media. The reason you can't read it on your PC is because it's in xISO format.

Your best option is to get a DVD-R made of this ISO.

Now I'm really getting the impression you haven't a clue what an ISO file is.

I've already explained how to do it in my previous post:

"Open Nero and select Recorder / Burn Image."

You burn ISO files in exactly the same way, regardless of what they're for.

No excuse for this - search 'burn ISO' on Google....

I know about ISO files, it's just that every time I try to burn a dvd-r with a game or app on it, the disc isnt recognized. I have been using the same dvd drive and same type of dvd-r and same type of burning method. So I'm just wondering if I've been doing it wrong. It worked only a few times, for a game, but it had some data corruption, and my BIOS dvd. But every other time it seems that it doesn't work for me.
From what i know, it's not as simple as selecting burn image, you have to change settings, at least I have had to in the past and so have ppl I have talked to about it.

Sorry if I'm posting useless posts, I would just like to get the facts straight.

it only worked for me if i told it to finalise the disk, thats why i got befuddled.

any ideas how to work the evox menu, i only have one option (applications on hdd) but if i select it, it dissapears and no other options appear.

can i ftp to it like this and if so how do i find the adress and whats the password (the tutorial told me to use the "System Utils" option which i dont have

Go away and READ some Xbox BASICS tutorials, both here and at xbox-scene.com
What your asking is not X2CL releated, and to be honest if you didnt know what you needed to do BEFORE your modded your xbox, you should never have modded it in the first place.

We are here to help with major problems, but we are NOT going to take you through everything step by step, the info you need is readily available.

Once you have managed to realise that you only every FLASH the Bios to your chip, and then everything need's FTP'ing to your HDD. you will have a lot better understanding of what you need to do.
