So I have a v1.0 XBox and I spent the day trying to get my xapt3r and xecuter3 to no avail. It would reset 2 times then FRAG. I found the error on here and it's obviously a d0 problem (I installed the exact same chip on my friends 1.3 XBox with no issue [literally, just opened up the 1.3 and popped it in, took all of a minute to do] and it worked fine).

The issue is simply that I don't know where the d0 contact on the top of the motherboard is.

I've examined 3 different pictures of XBox mods and either I'm missing something or I dunno what but I don't seem to have the same contact point. If it'll help I can post a picture of the board area in the morning.

I've been using this picture <http://www.teamxecuter.com/23b/lite/1011_lpc_wires.jpg> as a reference mostly, but I've tried that point several times, even ones around it, and it was a no go.

Should I try soldering the d0 wire into that point to ensure proper contact? The install manual doesn't say anything about doing that.

You know that you have to very gently scrape away the green covering on top of the upper D0 point for it to make a connection ??

Have a look at www.baldbouncer.co.uk they also have some clear pictures of the D0 probably the same as TeamX but its worth a look.
You may find that your D0 has fallen off and it just a empty hole your trying to solder to , you have to be carefull to much solder, cleaning and de-soldering the d0 and you can kiss the d0 goodbye.

I haven't tried to solder the d0 on top yet, it's a tiny connection and I hate working with them. I was asking if it's a good idea, seems like it isn't. :p

I'll try it again this morning now that I'm in a better mood.

Thanks!
