This is my first time installing a mod on my x box. I bought the Xecuter 2.6 CE and I have a v 1.0 xbox. I installed it and everything went well, the leds turned on and I was taken to the blue screen where the following options are given
1)Enable network flashing
2)load bios from hdd
3)load bios from disk
4) unlock HDD
5) Lock HDD

During this whole time I could turn on and off the X box and the same screen would come on. Being the smart*ss that I am I decided to try and click on lock hdd to see what it does heheee, well say goodbye to the blue screen and to the mod working again. Now my xbox turns on and off and flashes red and green when the mod is on and works normally when it is off. Is there a way I can reverse this super stupid mistake?

Did you try to "force" the start of the backup-bios "blue screen" ?
This can be done by pressing and holding both buttons at the xbox to start it up.

btw do you have a "real bios" flashed t your x3 ..... if yes ..the correct version acording to your xbox hardware version ?

it sounds like your x2.6ce did not have a bios so of course you were trying to flash it. Did you have any bios on your hd to flash the bios? if you were not able to then it sounds like to possibly wiped the flashbios off that bank of your chip. Have you tried switching to another bank? you should have flashbios on both banks 1 and 2. if both flashbios are corrupt then you will have to flash your chip via an x2 programmer

Did you guys even read the post? First off, he has a 2.6, so there is no backup bios on the board meaning pushing both power and eject will do nothing. Second, the reason for the title is because he selected lock hard drive, and that's when the problem came up.

Since the Xbox works with the chip off, it has to be something you did to the chip. Did you change banks or anything? I would also look for pinched wires going to the switches.

No, you didn't mess anything up when you selected lock hdd. If it works with the chip off, the Xbox is fine. Check your soldering again, look for pinched wires, and take a close look at the switches.

version 1 xbox uses a 1mb flash not 256 or 512, you should flash the chip with a 1 mg flash, as for why it is fraggin you should check your connections on the mother board and your D0 point but would tend to believe its the ground on the lpc port, point number 2 has been my nemisis for years for some odd reason

Um.. it seems like only one or two people have actuall READ his post...

Are you new?
How the hell would he flash his chip bios with a 1 1mb bios if his xbox doesnt even turn on?
If you meant he should buy the programmer and flash it then you should've said, "Buy the programmer and flash your bios with a 1 mb bios"

I swear... people on forums these days are either all 12 years old or just mentally retarded!
