I know this might be a stupid question but why do you have to lock the hdd. Is it so you can go onto live? It if you don't go onto live is it ok to keep it unlocked?
And also when i backed up fight club on the hard drive and tried to play it straight from the hdd it says it needed to use the org. to play 2 players. Is there a way around it?

The hd must be locked to load the MSDASH, or xbox live. The other ? I am not sure what the issue is.?.

U lock the hdd so you can boot the MS BIOS
which in turn lets u boot the MS Dash with the chip
off and then u can use xbox live. Simple eh?

And no you dont need it locked. Backup the xbox EEPROM to
the X3 and to ur computer so if u do lock it and ur mobo
gets screwd u can unlock it still.

Im sure a little searching would have gotten you this answer.

u always talk about searching, fair enough it may be a good idea but no need to give people a hard time over it. give it a break. if you use the search tool fine thats your way of doing things, people dont always have to do wot you do. sheesh!

if nobody would search it'd be kind of spammy in here now wouldnt it

when you go to a library you dont go yelling "WHATS THE NAME OF ADOLF HITLER'S WIFE"
you go to the encyclopedia and look it up

If you want Fight Club to work install it with dvd2xbox (newest version 6.3 I think) also go to dvd2xbox web site and get the ACL file for fight club, then install.
