lock hdd

hi all...i`ve got (another) problem. i`ve got an xbox 1.6 with Xecuter 2.6CE. if i want to go on XBox live i schould launch msdash but i cant because i get an error (error 05). ofcourse i`ve read some threads and i know now that i need to lock my hdd first. but that`s were all the trouble comes:
my first bank of my chip is doomed (fragging cos of a wrong flash ) so i`ve only got my 2nd bank left (X2 5035 on it).
i`ve read that if i want to lock my hdd i need to boot flashbios but i cant . is there any other way??

EvoX and I think UnleashX both have the ability to lock HDDs. Not sure on UnleashX tho. What dash are you running?

Edit: Depending on how your dash install was set up the options to lock/unlock the HDD may be missing. You might need to put them back into the dash config file. Check for a "stock" version of your dashboard in the usual places, check for these options and add to your config if needed.

FlashBIOS will do it as well, maybe you can drop it back into the 1st bank with FlashX. Just because your bank is currently FRAGging doesn't mean it is done. You're up and running and can reflash with better tools. FlashX allows you to select exactly what area of the BIOS you want to flash. So long as you don't touch your working bank you should be fine.
