Hey all, Ive got a problem that I could use some help on. I had a softmod, and wanted to upgrade hard drives. I used the XBOXHDM gui with both the original, and new Maxtor 160 GB HD in a PC to Unlock the drives, and do a drive copy. Foolishly, I didnt save the Eeeprom.bin file.

After rebooting, neither drive worked to boot the Xbox, so I bought an X2.6 with the Solderless adapter. I was able to get the BIOS loaded, and now when I boot with either hard drive, I get an OOPS Error 6.

Is there a way to Unlock the drives, or do a factory reset or something? Do I have two paperweights? Do I need to unlock them in the same exact fashion and password used to lock before Slayers can reformat the thing?

I dont care about data loss, im months beyond that. Any help in getting me up and running is appreciated.

I should also ask. Is there a way with the X2.6 Modchip to use an Autoinstaller like Slayers Disk, without an Eeeprom.bin file, and put in a brand new, unlocked Hard Drive? Or is my XBOX hosed without the Eeprom.bin file, and will I have to get an Eeprom Reader?

OK I got it running with a fresh hard drive, but now my original XBOX hard drive and my 160 gigger are stuck locked...

Is there any way I can unlock this thing without the original Eeeprom.bin? I do have an Eeeprom.bin but it was with another hard drive in the XBOX.. Any ideas on how to salvage this drive?

Why make two threads for the same problem? There are a few programs that work on the PC that have some success unlocking an Xbox drive. Search www.xbox-scene.com for them, I can't remember the name off the top of my head.

Thanks I created another thread because the first problem was BIOS related, and this is HD Lock related..

I think im about to give up on this 160 gig drive.. nothing I can think of is working, none of the passwords (including program defaults) are working.. its out of warrenty... looks like I have a 160 gig paper weight.
