Serious Problem, Bricked Drive, Now more problems :(

Well tonight I decided to Flash my Liteon 7xxx Drive from 1.6 to the new LT.

I've been pretty heavy into the scene since the early days, I've modded I guess 50 consoles or more, But I didn't want to buy any extra hardware for my new Liteon Xbox, so I had a good friend of mine mod it back in July of last year to 1.6.

He emailed me the Dummy.bin, and the other 3 files

Well I carefully read over the JF Tutorial on how to Flash an already modded liteon to LT, Everything went well up until I got to the part where it required me to Power off/ then power on the drive after the erasing.

I don't really know what went wrong here, but It ended up with my drive being totally erased, the xbox not ejecting the tray, and the drive being completely dead.

I followed the tutorial on using I-O-ERAS to bring the drive back and I did, I was able to reflash it back to the old 1.6

Now i'm trying to take a second whack at this, and my drive will NOT enter the half/tray open status.

I've tried all sata ports on ALL my computers in my house (three of them), I've tried the drive half way opened every which way, 20% open, 50% open, 60% open, You name it. I've tried it. Jungleflasher continously gives me the "DRIVE MUST BE IN HALF OPEN MODE TO CONTINUE" error when I click the Dummy.bin extract icon.

I've spent the last 5 hours trying and I'm simply out of ideas, the Drive WILL NOT go into halftray open mode.

I mean I have my xbox flashed back to 1.6 after a scare, So part me tells me to pack up and quit while im ahead, but I REALLY want my xbox flashed to LT.

Has anybody heard of my problem or can offer some insight into this a little bit?

It's just really strange that this is only happening AFTER erasing my drive, messing it up, then Restoring it back, I wouldn't think that would have anything to do with my problem.

This is just really irritating, Jungleflasher will no longer see the tray as half open no matter WHAT I do. ugh

I don't use Jungle flasher to flash liteon's as my PC sometimes freezes when power cycling but I'm sure you don't need the tray half open to flash it only to extract the key (which you already have) on the 7 series liteon and I could be wrong but I don't think you need to extract the dummy.bin as again you already have it.

If you managed to reflash back to 1.6 using dosflash without problems then maybe use dosflash to flash it instead. As you have your original key then use jungle flasher to manually spoof the new LT firmware (make sure you're using the correct LT series firmware), save the new key and then reflash it using dosflash.

Cymon is correct why you trying to extract files that you should have multiple copies of, if you flashed it you must have copy of dummy.bin
load that as source
LT as target
spoof target as button
liteon erase
write
REMEMBER when LT is on, mra hack is only way to get dummy.bin make sure you have a few copies
