If I have a USB memory stick or a powered external HDD connected to the console during bootup the system freezes at the Xbox 360 Logo. I then have to remove the USB device then power off then back on for it to boot.

Not sure what would cause this?
Any one experience this?

Info on System:

RGH Phat (Falcon) 360 with 14699 Dash. (Coolrunner installed)
Used Multi Builder v0.7 if that helps.

Had the same problem myself. Thought it was the wiring but after several attemps moving wiring about no luck. I solved it by pulling the power plug from the back of the console out then removing the HDD. Pluggging the power back in Then the HDD.
It seems that plugging the power lead in while the HDD is connected is causing random freezing. So plug in the power cable before the HDD.
Works for me.
Hope this helps.

If they are not, route the wires away from the coils on the bottom of the board. If that fails, try routing the wires through seperate holes. also, make sure you haven't bridged anything or have stray solder.
The wires are routed away from the coils on the bottom "Westbox " suggestions from the instructions..

If I have my USB drive connected at boot up it looks like it's froze but it's just scanning the drive, if you have a lot games on there it takes a while, mine takes about a minute and then pops on, it’s 2tb drive. So I boot it first and then connect the drive. This may or may not be your problem.
